The more faithful and respectful you’re to what you have (people, cars, cats, socks to whatever) the more the Universe opens up to you.
You can fill your bathtub to the top and feel like you own the Ocean. But all it takes is one teensy little leak to make it all disappear in no time. Gratitude (particularly to your Creator), generosity, graciousness and your ability to pour your heart into everything you do and to everyone you meet, allows you to that keep that “bathtub of life” leakproof day after day, year after year.
Strangely enough, these are the 4 ingredients that our amazing Founder and Chairman of the Universe also uses to determine the amount of “lucky breaks”, “fortunate circumstances”,”fortunate coincidences”, “supernatural guidance”, “supernatural protection”, “supernatural favor” and “supernatural couscous” we receive in this life (and the next). And yes, they work just as well with or without a religion. It does take a while for the good stuff to show up in your life though, because the Chairman of the Universe much like gravity can’t be fooled (indoors or outdoors).
