Whilst it can be extremely tempting to do it all yourself (whilst leaving you with just enough time to explore the 7 wonders of the world) it would be so much simpler for you to just ““4D optimize” it.

“4D Optimization” is a four-tier filtration process that Discards, Defers and Delegates tasks according to their level of importance and relevance, leaving with just the juicy and groovy stuff. Here’s how it works:

1. “Discard” the time wasters – If it’s not adding any value to your Business or Personal life, then just discard it altogether. Or pass them along to one of your favorite enemies.

2. “Defer” the not so urgent stuff – Not everything needs to be done yesterday (or the day before that). Some things whilst important have less pressing deadlines.

3. “Delegate” – Hate it like crazy but still needs doing? Then hire an idiot..I mean..a talented individual with a good track record whose willing to get it done in a cost-effective way.

4. “Do” – Identify the mission-critical stuff and the stuff that can’t be done without you. Then determine the five most pressing items from that list. And start working on them in their order of importance. Once they’re done, grab the next five most important items from the list and so forth until someone eventually shows up with a straitjacket.

Now aside from the most important tasks (i.e. the stuff that you keep for yourself), everything else is pretty much “hands-off management”.
