“News” is best served fresh when your Dog’s feeling hungry.
Why? Because Commercial News Media are now in the business of collecting the juiciest of trash from around the globe and dumping them straight into our living rooms.
They tap into our biological need to feed our cortisol (the stress hormone, responsible for keeping us safe from physical harm) with stress, worry, fear, doubt, hatred, prejudice, snappiness and grouchiness. Sadly this semi-intelligent hormone doesn’t have the ability to distinguish a real threat from something it sees on TV.
So, does that mean Commercial News Media are selling us lies?
Not at all. But what they tell us, is as accurate as judging a racehorse solely by his ass. In other words, the Horse does have an ass. But that’s far from what the Horse has to offer or what he represents. And, if it was a Champion Racehorse, he’ll be wondering why all these reporters have got all their spotlights and cameras pointed right at his butt and not his face.
Likewise, when they find one corrupt Businessman/Businesswoman out of the hundreds of millions in the World, that’s where their flashlights will be. And they’ll be careful to “edit” out any of the good things they notice along the way. Besides, who in their right minds want to know about any of the THOUSANDS of AMAZING things that happen around the World every day?
And, if a handful of people (who probably had a severe case of food poisoning) were stirring up trouble in some remote part of the World (commonly referred to as “War” nowadays) then that’s the trash that gets paraded in front of eyes around the clock.
Think about it like this. If a reporter knocked on your front door and told you that they’re here to do a story about your accomplishments, but the second you let them in, they head straight over to your trash and base their whole story on what they find in there, how would you feel about it?
That wouldn’t be fair on you. And, it certainly wouldn’t fair on another HUMAN being, anywhere, in any color, shape, shoe design or orientation.
So, if you really wanna know what’s happening around the World (according to the tiny pit of a landmass they cover about the size of your backyard), then let your Dog watch it instead and tell you all about it over Dinner.
