Have you outlived your usefulness?
Jobs are no longer about loyal employees who are willing to stay with a company for 80 years. They’re now more about productivity, profitability and proficiency.
That means the second your “overall performance” falls below their “baseline level of expectancy” you’re pretty much on your way to the next phase of the evolution cycle. Rumor has it that it’s a bright place with an endless supply of milkshakes.
Now, what if you aren’t ready for that yet? What if you prefer to hang onto your job instead?
Then do the following:
1.Show up nice and early
2.Work like you have just eaten a whole bag of Coffee for Breakfast
3.Be nice and awesome to everyone
4.Stay behind and always get the job done (but without any snoring)
5.Dress and groom really well (whilst keeping the bling to a minimum)
6. Never phone in sick unless one of your Toes fall off when you wake up in the morning
7.Never be outworked by any Hamsters in the block
If you improve your odds of staying employed even more, then just go work for the guy or gal who brushes your teeth every morning.
