3 Healthy Daily Habits for a Truly Rewarding and Youthful Life

Healthy Daily Habits

Our whole world seems to come to a grinding halt when our health’s been compromised.

Throughout my twenties, I felt sick, old and run down. I could barely walk a few yards without having a screw or bolt pop off from somewhere.

I had constant headaches, coughs, and colds, back problems, weight problems, internet problems (yes that was related to my weight too), digestion problems, sleep problems and even spent months hopping around on one leg, due to some “medical condition” that didn’t show up on the X-Rays (or maybe their x-ray machine wasn’t working and they pretended that it was).

And everyone I knew (from as far as I can remember) were popping pills and chocolate dollars in all shapes and sizes. So, I had given into the notion that, it’s just how the human body was designed to function. Besides, why would you have Doctors every few miles otherwise?

But then, just as I was about to turn 30, life decided to slap me behind the head and force me to dig inside and pull out some stuff in me that I didn’t even know I had (like a chewing gum wrapper dating back several months, a few toothpicks I had kept for ‘emergencies’ and a breath mint old enough to make any Dinosaur feel young again).

Over the years, what I came to realize is that we can transform every little inch of our lives if we only took the time to study and implement the correct knowledge.

So, after years of trial and error and a whole bunch of stuff that only worked in part(or made me feel deprived or hungry all the time),I finally switched nearly everything I ate for 6 days a week to RAW foods.

And on top of that, I started drinking a glass of water every hour and working out every day for at least 30 minutes. And on Sundays, even though I still workout as normal (just to brighten my mood for day), I eat anything
I like on just that day so that I don’t feel deprived.

And now, I am slimmer and fitter than I had ever been. Up until recently, I used to think that “Slim” and “Fit” were just two characters from an eighties sitcom.

And I am also free of pills, booze and other “stuff”. And, I hadn’t gone to see a Doctor in years (thank God).
Raw foods?

By raw foods, I am talking about the good stuff that our Creator’s given us, JUST the way he’s given them to us. None of that canned, processed, fermented, recycled, expired and packaged stuff.

So, here’s what I have for 6 days a week:

  • 2 Bananas in the morning made with a little honey and a little cinnamon
  • 3 Smoothies made with Fresh fruits, veggies, greens, nuts, seeds and skim milk
  • 2 Egg salads made with veggies, Greens, Eggs, Healthy oils (such as Olive, Rapeseed or Sesame Oil), 100% Natural Spices and a pinch of Sea Salt,
  • 1 Glass of water every hour

and I alternate between egg salads and smoothies every 2-3 hours.
If you’re allergic to exercise as I had been for all of my life, then start with a 10 slow minute walk around the block. And boost that over the weeks in 5-minute increments, until you can comfortably manage a 30 minute SLOW walk. You can then transform that slow walk into a power walk gradually over the coming weeks and when your legs are finally ready for more action, try something a little more fun and intense like P90X3.

Start small. If you go for an overnight transition as many do, you’re likely to give up in as a few days.
