Marketing Positioning: 5 Strategies to Get More Eyeballs to Your Products and Services

How to attract more customers

Is your material engaging enough?

Is it value driven?

Does it invite feedback?

Does it invite dialogue and interaction?

Do you toss in the occasional Chocolate Dollar with your publication (i.e. extras that won’t cost them more)?

Are you “nice” to your readers? Or do you generally “hate” your reader base?

Do you offer discounts on biannual and annual subscription options?

And does it reaching as many readers as you would like? Or is the readership limited to your immediate family members?

If your magazine/newsletter/paper isn’t doing as well as it should then the following “corrective measures” should set things right for you:

1.Launch a campaign driven primarily to get some feedback from your readers. An incentivized survey usually does the trick. Just don’t promise them anything big (or too expensive) like a car, house or elephant.

2.Then adjust and improve the quality of the writing, the topics being covered, the print quality and anything else that needs improving. It may also be worthwhile replacing some the people on the frontpage with people who have teeth and eyebrows.

3.Follow that up with a Marketing campaign that reaches out to your potential readers through all mediums (Social Media in particular).

4.Have a look at what your direct competitors are doing and model after whatever they’re doing right (without copying anything obviously).

5. Go the extra mile in being receptive and responsive to your readers. The more likable you are, the more likely they are to stay on as loyal readers.
