Meditation for Anxiety: 7 Benefits of Meditation + 3 Meditations to Develop a Bulletproof Mind

Meditation for Anxiety

A bulletproof mind is the byproduct of a cultivated mind.

So how do you “cultivate”a mind? What kind of fertilizer should you use?

Should the mind be kept facing or away from direct sunlight?

And how much water does it require?

Despite their striking similarities, cultivating a mind can be subtly different to that of a plant.

Plenty of Water and Sunshine is usually not a bad thing unless the Sun is hot enough to cook breakfast with. And as per the Water, unless you’re in the Shower or having a Bath then it’s recommended that you drink the water as opposed to pouring it on.

With the fertilizer, the mind thrives on good nutrition, happy thoughts, praise, compliments and a ton of deep breathing.

But the one fertilizer that whoops the tiny little butts of everything else is “Meditation”.

Meditation is super effective because it:

1. Vacuums out all the dusty corners of your mind along with any toxic thoughts, anxieties and worries and leaves you feeling piney fresh and zesty

2. Makes your mind bullet proof to the outside world by crocheting an air of contentment, happiness, peace and love

3. Helps skyrocket your productivity and focus by tossing out any unused furniture and clutter that may be blocking the flow

4. Changes the way we process thoughts by enabling us to see things from a higher plane as opposed to looking up at them lying down

5. Makes our brain “work” like a well-oiled machine

6. Makes us breathe easy and leaves us with a strange floating sensation

7. Makes our teeth sparkle and our eyes twinkle after each session

Suffice to say, it’s “good” for you. And the daily session or two of meditation is what helps you reap all the benefits listed here.
So, which “brand” of meditation do you go with?

The brand of meditation doesn’t matter much as long as it helps you to breathe deep and it doesn’t come with any bloody pictures or small sachets of white powder.

But if you’re just starting out and want to take the “lazy route”, whereby all you have to do is plug in and listen then I would recommend starting out with a session of “Life Flow”.

I personally do a 30-minute session of the “Mindfulness of Breathing”in the morning (after my workout, breakfast, and shower) and a session of Life Flow abound an hour before going to bed.

Important thing is that you do this every day for at least 30 consecutive days for the effects to kick in.

Much like learning to drive, you don’t stop screaming and holding on to your Instructor until you had been behind the wheel for a good while.
