[Keeping a Positive Attitude] 15 Ways to Keep Your Engines Purring Like a Happy Kitten

Keeping a positive attitude

Your Attitude and your Attributes determines your Magnitude and your Altitude.

Don’t allow junk and strife into your life in any form. Here’s how:

1. Turn off the news.

2.Tune out the TV shows that keep you counting spiders and sheep at night.

3. Keep a bug spray handy to keep out Soap Operas and trashy reality shows

4. Stop associating with Energy Vampires (even the polite ones)

5. Stop associating with people who don’t appreciate you (excluding immediate family members of course.)

6.Be a reservoir of positivity – Infuse everything you say with a hint of positivity. Never complain, blame or criticize about anything.

7. Start your day with something positive – Listen to a motivational seminar or something uplifting and inspirational set the rudder for the day.

8. For 6 days a week I have only fresh produce, ideally eaten raw – Fresh produces are basically unaltered and unprocessed foods that come straight from nature (such as Fruits, Vegetables, Greens, Nuts, Seeds, Milk and Eggs). What I do is use the above to whip up some tasty smoothies and egg salads and have these 2-3 hours apart. Fresh Produces restore the right chemical and energy balance in your body so that you won’t be susceptible to any of those usual mood and energy fluctuations.

9. Workout for at least half an hour each day – Start with a slow 10-minute walk, and then increase it by 5 minutes each week until you hit the 30-minute mark. After that, try increasing the distance you walk each session over the weeks until you have transformed that slow walk into a solid power walk. And finally, when your legs are ready and willing, graduate to something a little more fun and intense like P90X3.

Exercise wrings out much of your stress and anxiety from the day prior in one fell swoop. But don’t start any kind of exercise program (even a slow walk), without first changing what you eat, because that’ll probably be as productive as trying to play a professional sport without shoes.

10. Drink a glass of water every hour – If you just finished a run around the block or a hike, you don’t reach for a snickers bar to recuperate. No, you reach for some clean and refreshing like water instead.

Water doesn’t just make your body function like a well-oiled machine, it also keeps your body free of harmful toxins and food residue.

11. Meditate for half an hour each day (without snoring)

If you’ve ever seen Star Trek (the TV series or any of the Movies), you may recall that the first thing, the “Enterprise” does when she spots an enemy hostile is (or a fly) is raise her shields. And from thereon, the ship becomes immune to whatever it gets battered with, for as long as the shields hold out.

Meditation does something similar. It acts as the shield, that protects the fortress referred as the “mind”, from emotional debris and outside negativity.

In addition to that, it also clears out any debris that’s clogging your thought process or creativity. Let’s say you dropped your Wedding ring among a huge pile of files and folders. Now, you could always grab a magnifying glass and go around in circles hoping to spot the ring randomly.Or you could take a few minutes to shuffle those files and folders over to one side and give each one a little shake and a wiggle, to unveil the ring that’s sitting gently at the bottom of the pile.

So, Meditation overall gives you a sense of calm, control, clarity, stability and it allows you to reach into your subconscious mind and pull out any notes that you had scribbled there weeks ago.

12. Keep a water feature or two in the house and at the office – Your mind is pretty much like a ship out at Sea. If you leave the engines running and the steering unattended and go for a quick nap, there’s no telling where you’re gonna wake up.

So, by having a water feature or some soft instrumental music playing in the background, you prevent your thoughts from running over to the playground of bewilderment.

13. Clear out any clutter from your life – Clutter leads to chaos. And,the lack of it, leads to Clarity.

So, start clearing out everything that you hadn’t used in the past 12 months. Chances are you’ll never use them again.

Keep two-thirds of your wall space and floor space clear of “stuff”. Rid your PC of programs, temporary files, viruses, sore throats, milk and cookies to just about anything you hadn’t used in well over a month.

Lastly, double your PC memory and swap your hard drive with an SSD drive to reduce your waiting times and any stress associated with those waiting times significantly.

14. Always work from a list – If it’s not on the list, write it down, give it a priority level and schedule it for a later time.

15. Stack your tasks beforehand – For instance, if you’re running your own Business, never have your phone plugged in whenever you’re at work.
That way, you can get through all your calls in a single sitting and only take action on the most important and relevant ones.

Obviously, you’ll need to give your family members a different number they can reach you on at any time.
